2. Style & Concept consultation
We’ll chat to plan your photo style and help you choose the right service from our catalog. Share details about yourself and your family, and we’ll recommend the best option.
3. Photoshoot day
On the day of the photoshoot, we’ll have a fun and relaxed session. At Jana, we have everything you need to relax, including coffee and snacks, a TV, a kids’ play area, a washroom, and a kitchen with a microwave, a bottle warmer, a changing area, and a changing table.
4. Online gallery
After the shoot, you'll get access to a private gallery in a few days to view and select your favorite photos for editing. You can also add editing comments and order additional photos and prints.
5. Receive your amazing products
Your photos and products will be delivered for you to enjoy! Digital images will be sent via Dropbox or USB, and prints and albums will be ready for pickup at the studio in under a week.

Frequently Asked Question
What age to get newborn photos done?
We normally recommend between 6-20 days old depending on the baby’s weight at birth. The first 3 weeks babies tend to be more sleepy and relaxed to get a professional result in posed even lifestyle newborn photography portraits. After passing the golden stage we help families case by case to see if the baby is still ok and comfortable for a photoshoot.
Is 2 weeks old too late for newborn photos?
2 weeks is a perfect time for a wide range of babies. We have never had a fail session at this stage especially if the baby has already figured out latching and feeding properly.
What to wear for newborn photos?
For parents, the recommended outfits are clean and nice coordinated light colors. For moms a light color dress that covers post pregnancy belly and for dads light color shirt or khaki pants would be the best choice to create nicer and wide variety. For the newborn baby in JaNa Photography we take care of the baby clothing, warps and props.
Will I regret not taking newborn photos?
Absolutely. It’s a lovely miracle that the babies come to the world so perfect and beautiful. They grow up very fast in the first week and documenting those early days gives the families a chance to appreciate how perfect they were upon arrival. Those memories are worth preserving. The first few weeks after delivery families are tired, sleep deprived and often don’t get a chance to appreciate the beauty of their baby. Everything is unknown and blurry and before you know the time flies. We have witnessed the families who regret not capturing their first baby’s newborn portrait and when they know it’s too late It can’t be repeated or replaced.
Should parents be in newborn photos?
Of course yes. The answer is always yes. Many feel like they don’t look good in the pictures because they don’t feel like it or they are tired, but we insist. We don’t want them to regret it. This memorable family time needs to be captured and documented as is. We make it very smooth for families to bring their own clothing and makeup tools to get ready in the studio. Most of the time the only reason is that they feel like they don’t have time to get ready and we do whatever we can to make it possible. All of our newborn photography services include parents shots.
Are newborn photoshoots worth it?
Indeed it is worth every second. These memories deserve to be captured. They go very fast and before you know the baby will be in the next stage. Those tint fingers, toes, eyelashes, baby hair, fresh skin, the life, the beauty and the perfectness that they are born with is priceless and the best way to freeze it in time for parents and the baby is to be photographed. Professionally, safely and in the most artistice storytelling way.
What to buy for a newborn photoshoot?
Honestly for the parents all they need to bring to us is the baby’s personal items such as diapers, milk, wipes and pacifiers. For themselves and immediate family members like siblings, they can have a change of clothes. Newborn sessions are long especially for sibling toddler age, the only thing that is recommended to bring along is some daily snacks parents give their kids. These are for the essentials. For the photography part we recommend bringing any cultural or sport related props or any item that is spiritually valuable for the family and we incorporate them in some photos, other than that we have thought about everything in our professional studio. From baby wipes to headbands and props to bottle warmer and the change table etc.
How to do your own newborn photography?
It’s not recommended unless you are a photographer and like to do casual lifestyle photography. If you like to do posed newborn sessions and get a nice result you need to hire a professional newborn photographer. Even photographers who do other genres like wedding or commercial find it very challenging to handle the baby and take good pictures.
